The WRHS chapter of the National Honor Society would like to invite you to join our club.  The club will be onboarding new members through Wednesday, Sept. 15th.  The criteria for admission are listed here:

  • 11th or 12th grade
  • 3.2 or higher current unweighted GPA
  • Zero level 3 disciplinary referrals & fewer than three level 1 or 2 referrals
  • At least 20 service hours registered with WRHS before Sept 15t
  • Complete Candidate Info Form before Sept 15th
  • One complete Candidate Recommendation Form, completed before Sept 15th by a professional, adult member of the academic community whom you’ve known for at least six months.

As a reminder, you must currently have and maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.2, have zero level 3 disciplinary referrals on record, fewer than three level 1 or 2 disciplinary referrals, and have at least 20 service hours registered with WRHS to be admitted to and maintain membership in the WRHS NHS.  Membership is a commitment.  Once admitted, you’ll be required to pay $25 club dues (includes club shirt), attend monthly meetings, contribute to monthly and quarterly service initiatives, earn 20 more documented service hours each school year, and maintain your good disciplinary and academic standing with WRHS.  Membership will not be processed and will be canceled if these criteria aren’t met and/or maintained.

The club typically holds its first couple of meetings with existing members, before the induction of new members.  We should have our new members identified by October.

If you have met the criteria above, including all deadlines, we invite you to listen to October morning announcements for information about the first meeting with new members.  Beginning in October you can also reference the WRHS Home Page in the middle under “School News” for info about the first meeting with new members.

The NHS Sponsor is Kris Marsh.  Contact me at ksmarsh@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions about the WRHS NHS chapter.
