Bulls next week is celebrate Literacy week. Make some time all week to chat with your friends, family and teachers about books, poems, and all forms of literature you love or hate.

Check mylearning everyday for a literacy trivia question and be eligible to earn a prize.

Compete in the bookmark contest. Bookmarks available outside of room 4-151, or ask one of your teachers.

Also, log your minutes into beanstack to earn the Literacy week badge, and get a chance at being invited to the WRHS end of the year celebration.

Girls lacrosse tryouts start Monday, January 22nd at 4:30 pm on the portable fields. You must have athletic clearance. All new and returning players are welcome. Please bring cleats, googles, a stick and a mouthpiece. Any questions, please see Ms. Schweigert in 3-143.

Boys Lacrosse season starts Monday January 22nd with team tryouts and evaluations. Make sure all paperwork and fees are submitted and paid. Conditioning will continue this week at 3:30.

Hello Bulls,
Time for a shoutout to our wrestling team.
Two weeks ago, our lady wrestlers competed in the tough Lady Wildcat Scramble at McKeel Academy, where several girls placed.
Mariam K placed 8th in her weight class.
Hiruni McCants placed 8th.
Nicollette Watson took 3rd place.
Megan Preston was the champion in her weight class at 1st place. Congratulations ladies!

This past weekend, the boys varsity also wrestled in the Jerry Mita Tournament. Out of 30 teams, Wiregrass placed in the top 10.
Congratulations to the following wrestlers for placing in their weight class:
AJ Beckford who placed 6th
Tyler Mascarelli and Sean Williams who placed 5th
Lorenzo Sanchez for placing 4th.

Need in our area is great this season. Thank you for your generosity!\

Dec 13 – 15 Announcement:

What better way to celebrate winter coming than going Ice Skating with your friends and family this Saturday from 2:15-3:15 at the AdventHealth Ice Center. Come on out and support the class of 2026. All you have to do is mention the Class of 2026 when you pay for your skating and a portion of that will benefit our school.

Dec 12 – 14 Announcement:

On Saturday 12/10, WRHS Thespian Troupe 7142 brought 30 performance and technical events to the District 14 Thespian festival and every single student earned Excellents and Superiors!

Aubrey Young earned the Critics’ Choice award for her costume designs for the musical “Cinderella”! Congrats to our Broadway Bulls on their amazing achievements.

FCCLA is having a meeting directly afterschool in room 3-158. Attendance will be mandatory if you are planning to compete at Districts this upcoming January.

Dec 11 – 13 Announcement:

Hey Bulls! The BIG RED BUSSES are coming back this week! Signups for the next blood drive happening this Thursday are today during all lunches. We had such an amazing turnout last time. Let’s do it again! If you missed out last time, be sure to sign up early. One donation can save up to 3 lives.

Dec 11 – 12 Announcement:

Bulls, the NHS toy drive continues this week benefitting Toys for Tots. Donations will stay local to help needy kids in our area, and requests for this year are already full. Please bring new, unwrapped toys before or after school to Mrs. Fradkin’s room (3-155) or Mrs. Enloe’s room (3-170) by Friday, December 15th. Thank you in advance for your support.

Dec 7 – 12 Announcement:

The Red Cross Club is doing a hygiene drive. We will be collecting body wash bottles for senior citizens in the Wesley Chapel community until December 13th. Please bring your donations to 4-157. Other hygiene items can also be donated. Your donations will be greatly appreciated by the elderly in our community!”

The Concert Choir and Women’s Ensemble of Wiregrass Ranch invite you to their Winter Choral Concert, Monday Dec 11th at 7:00PM, at the Center for the Arts Wesley Chapel. Come enjoy a joyful and intriguing variety of holiday selections; you will not be disappointed! Doors open at 6:30PM!

The FCA Pasco All-Star Football Game will be this Friday, December 8th at Sunlake High School at 7 pm. The best players, from every Pasco school, from every position, have been chosen. Come support 8 of our Wiregrass Seniors representing the best of the east team as they play against the best of the west. Tickets are $10.

Want to see what our Broadway Bulls will be bringing to the Thespian Festival taking place this Saturday? TONIGHT at 5pm in ACE Commons is your chance! Our amazingly talented students are bringing a record-breaking 31 events to competition this Saturday at Wesley Chapel High School and will be competing with schools from Pasco, Polk, and Hernando county. Come and show your support to wish everyone a broken leg!

Did you know that Toys for Tots broke their record last year by delivering 24.4 million toys and games to kids in need? You can help make 2023 even bigger by bringing new, unwrapped toys for the NHS Toy Drive. Toys can be dropped off before or after school in Mrs. Fradkin’s room (3-155) or Mrs. Enloe’s room (3-170) by Friday, December 15th. Thank you for your support!

FCCLA has partnered with 900 pizza at the grove and encourage you to eat there Wed Dec 6. By mentioning FCCLA you will be helping them raise money to go to state competition.

Attention Bulls! Be sure to come support your Boys and girls wrestling teams as BOTH TEAMS compete here at the RANCH the Saturday after Thanksgiving!.

On Saturday, November 25th, the Boys varsity team will be hosting the 5th Annual Sergeant Simmons Battle at the Border preseason classic with Cypress Creek, Lakeland, Bell Creek and Freedom coming to challenge our Bulls starting at 9am.

Following the boys will be one of the biggest girls wrestling tournaments RIGHT HERE at the Ranch featuring our girls varsity wrestling team. The girls varsity wrestling team will be hosting the 2nd Annual Princess Punchout with 20 girls schools from all across Florida coming here to the Ranch on Saturday November 25th, at 1pm.Come support your Lady Bulls as they take on the other girls as they try to earn their Tiara’s at the Princess Punchout.

Attention Wrestlers: There will be Wrestling Practice on Monday November 20th and Tuesday November 21st from 8 am to 12 pm. Be sure to bring water and some snacks.

Wrestling Tryout makeups will also be on November 20th and 21st from 1 pm to about 3 pm. You must show up both days for tryouts. See you there, Bulls.

Hey Bulls! Did you know that Metropolitan Ministries’ food stocks are critically low? As we approach Thanksgiving, please consider donating to the NHS food drive. You can bring non-perishable items like rice, canned foods, instant potatoes, pasta, snacks and granola bars. We will first help our own Bulls in need this holiday season and then donate any additional food to Metropolitan Ministries. to help our community. Donations will be accepted until Friday, November 17th and can be dropped off in either Mrs. Fradkin’s room (3-155) or Mrs. Enloe’s room (3-170) before or after school.

Nov 9 Announcement:

There will be a Drama Club meeting today after school from 2:45 to 3:45 in room 4-132. Bring your arts and crafts to make some theatrical turkeys!

We are excited to have partnered with our school clubs such as HOSA and NHS for this peanut butter drive.
You may earn time for only one club.

Come out and support Girls Soccer as we kick off our regular season this week with two home games. Come out on Monday, 11/6 as our Varsity team plays Hudson and on Tuesday 11/7 as our Varsity team plays Cypress Creek. Both games start at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you out there!

Want to see a performance of the Crazy 8’s Fan Favorite play, “Annnd Scene (of the Crime)?” Well here is your chance! Today at 4:30pm we will have an encore showing of the play in ACE Commons, so come and experience the funniest ten minutes of your life! Admission is completely free.

Nov 1 – Nov 3 Announcement:

The boys wrestling team will be conducting tryouts for all interested persons wanting to participate for the boys varsity and junior varsity wrestling team for the 2023-2024 wrestling team on Monday and Tuesday November 6th and 7th. All candidates must be cleared on AthleticClearance.com. All interested candidates will need to bring with them running shoes, a refillable water bottle, and workout clothes. The ASVAB Military entrance exam will be given on Thursday, November 30th. Please sign up by emailing or stopping by her office in Student Services. The test will be given 1st-4th periods on November 30th in her office.

The Girl’s Lacrosse team is looking for a home game announcer. Any student interested in broadcasting should stop by room 3-143 on Thursday , Nov 2nd for information and audition. See Coach Schweigert with any questions.

Please come out to the home football game this Friday Night as we celebrate the Seniors in the Band, Cheerleaders and Football. Kickoff is at 7:30 and we will recognize all of these Seniors at halftime.
