Summer School Extended School Year (ESY) 2019 Information
Notifications for students in need of summer school will be distributed on Thursday, 5/2. Students interested in participating in Summer School ESY 2019 need to return their notifications to WRHS no later than Friday, 5/10. Please note that the letter given to the student does not guarantee a seat, due to grade level priority and limited space availability. Those students accepted for summer school will receive an official notification. Those on a waiting list will also receive official notification.
Students need to attend ALL 20 days (or until they have completely finished a course).
Bus Transportation is provided for those that qualify
There will be security on campus during those hours
No lunch is provided
Summer School will be computer-based learning, but there may also be written work that must be completed, often at home each afternoon.
Students must complete a minimum amount of work each day in order to complete the course. If your student does not keep pace during the first week, your student may be dismissed from the program so that a student on the waiting list can be given the seat.
If students are not adhering to the expectations, and/or miss two sessions, the student will not be permitted to continue with the program, and their spot will be given to a student on our waiting list. This course of study is not for every student. If this program does not work with your summer plans, online courses are available via Pasco eSchool this summer.
All Pasco County rules and policies must be followed, including the dress code.
The APEX program is NOT certified for Division I and Division II NCAA athletes, so if your student plans to attend a college or university as an NCAA athlete, this summer program is not for your student, and you should not register.
